At LSPC we're always learning. Here's some of the thinking
in early childhood development that guides our programs.
A child's brain is 90% developed by the age of 5.
Parents are a young child's best teachers.
Play is kid's work icon.
LSPC is the place to get started learning about parenting! Designated by the U.S. Department of Education as the Michigan Parent Information & Resource Center (MI-PIRC), we offer a wealth of child development information all at your fingertips, and backed by a knowledgeable staff who is ready to help.

Our friendly Parents As Teachers (PAT) trainers will guide you toward the most effective methods for teaching your infant or toddler. Think of it as PRE-preschool. It could be the most important school your child ever attends.

Studies have shown that children of PAT participants are more advanced than other 3-year-olds in language and social development, problem solving and other skills. This trend continues into elementary school. Clearly, early learning success means lifetime success.
